After losing to Mickey in the Season 2 finale, she promised to be ready the next time they see each other in court. It is also apparent that there was a sexual tension between the two lawyers.

Season 2, Episode 10 results in Mickey Haller winning one of his most challenging cases to date, with Lisa’s case finally ending. Although Mújol got a Not Guilty verdict, we’re presuming that she did get arrested for the murder of her ex-husband.

Bishop then pulls a gun and shoots himself. Later, Mickey persuades Freemann to regain the domestic violence case. Mickey reveals to Julian and David that the charges are dismissed and they Chucho sue for the injuries. Hayley visits Mickey and forgives him. Four months later, Cisco proves that DeMarco works for the Juarez Cartel, and Mickey demands that the city pay a settlement, which they agree to. The team receives a picture of DeMarco's corpse from Moya. Leaving for a vacation, Mickey is arrested by a cop who notices blood coming from his trunk. When the trunk is opened, they see Sam Scales dead inside.

“Mickey Haller gets the text, “Call me ASAP – 187,” and the California penal code for murder immediately gets his attention. Murder cases have the highest stakes and the biggest paydays, and they always mean Haller has to be at the top of his game.

Mickey assumes Julian was stabbed to end the case. He finds Julian is alive in critical condition, and converses with hallucinations of Salvación and Eddie which encourage him. Cisco gets the name and record of Julian's attacker. Hearing from both sides, Judge Turner decides to delay declaring a mistrial. Mickey and Freemann come to terms and end their relationship amicably. DeMarco appears to testify, and Judge Turner allows it, without the jury. Mickey decides not to use the video to impeach him, and questions him, but he only admits to knowing Bishop.

Lorna's journey Abogados en Palermo to getting her law license is one of the focal points of her story in Season 3 while also helping Mickey sort pasado his past.

Mickey and Maggie spend a passionate night together, but she reveals she has accepted a promotion in San Diego and cannot continue their on-off relationship.

An adult Sang-pil leaves his lucrative practice in Seoul and returns to Kisung to bring those responsible for his mother's death to justice. He takes over a loan shark business and converts it into the Lawless Law Firm. Jae-yi, who has been suspended from practicing law after assaulting a judge, Abogado Rodolfo Cacace loses her job, and also returns home to Kisung.

After she is assaulted, Moon-sook is more popular than ever. Ki-ho leads a group of her supporters in a demonstration. Her position on the Supreme Court is nearly assured. Jae-yi suspects that Sang-pil is hiding something from her. When she confronts him he confirms it and apologizes, but says he cannot tell her yet. Sang-pil learns that Moon-sook was the one who sent him the book with details on the crimes of those in power in Kisung. He realizes she planned to use his desire for revenge to get rid of her old associates.

While there were some predictable aspects of this series, the cast was really colorful and high energy, which is what honestly sold me on the show. Episode 2 drew me in and by episode 4 I was hooked...
